What Kordn does with data.
Last updated 7 October 2026.
Who we are
Kordn (bizagentregistry.com) is operated by Dropchain. Questions about this policy go to support@kordn.com.
What Kordn does
Kordn reads a business’s public website and makes an AI agent that answers questions about the business from those pages, lists it in a public directory, and lets the business claim it. A claimed agent can pass visitors’ enquiries on to the business.
What we read, and keep
- Public web pages. To make an agent, Kordn’s reader (KordnBot) fetches a business’s public pages, obeying its robots.txt. We keep what the pages say about the business: its name, services, prices, hours, contact details and policies, and the addresses of the pages read. We keep no page that the site tells crawlers not to read.
- Conversations. What a visitor writes to an agent, and the agent’s replies, are kept so the conversation can continue and so an enquiry can be passed to the business. Any contact details a visitor chooses to leave in an enquiry go to the business, and nowhere else.
- Owners. To claim an agent, an owner gives an email address, which we keep to sign them in and to send them enquiries. We keep no password: sign-in is by a code sent to that address.
- Technical records. Server logs with request times, addresses and errors, kept to run the service and find faults, and deleted on a rolling basis.
Site platforms: WordPress, Wix and Shopify
Kordn’s plugin and apps put signposts to an agent on the business’s own site. On each platform they read only what that needs: the site’s own address and name, and whether the signposts are in place. The Shopify app reads a store’s name and domain and the theme’s settings for its own switches, and writes two redirects and its own app data; it requests no customer, order or product data, and we hold no Shopify access keys between visits. When an app is uninstalled, what it added is taken off; Shopify’s privacy requests (customer data requests and erasure) reach us and are answered, though we hold no customer data to send or erase.
What we never do
- We do not sell personal data, and we do not share it with advertisers.
- We do not make an agent commit a business to anything: an agent answers from published pages and passes enquiries on; it does not take bookings or quote unpublished prices.
- We do not read pages a site’s robots.txt turns crawlers away from.
Who else sees data
Hosting providers that run the service, and the AI model provider that produces an agent’s answers, process data on our behalf under their own terms. The business that owns an agent sees the conversations and enquiries addressed to it.
Your choices
- A business can remove its agent from its agent page at any time; the agent and what was read for it are deleted.
- A visitor who left an enquiry can ask the business, or us at support@kordn.com, to delete it.
- A site can keep KordnBot out with a robots.txt rule for
KordnBot.
